2008 - Documents found

In October 2008…

…the nephew of Nobert Laage sent me a parcel containing the genealogical bequest of his uncle who had passed away in spring 2006. It turned out to also have in it handwritings from the property of Joachim Christian Caspar Ludwig (1775-1829), son of Detlef Gottlieb Laage.

In 1973 Georg Laage wrote in his booklet "Jochim Laage und seine Söhne":
Until 1945 the following original documents remained:
1799: "Prayers book with many nice prayers for mornings and evenings."
Written Joachim Christian Ludwig Laage, so done on estate Priesholtz. - Priesholtz, den 1. Juni 1799"
1819: Ein Kassabuch u.a. mit folgender Eintragung:
"Von Martini 1819, als ich bei 1100 Rthl. zugesetzt und nun beinahe kahl von Geld bin".
1820: "Useful teachings by Joachim Laage in Plüschow".
1825: "Expenses for housekeeping from 24. Oct. 1825 on. Joachim Laage, Holländer zu Plüschow"
1828: "Poetry collection by Holländer Joachim Laage, who only had worriment in this world".

At least until 1973 Georg obviously believed these things got lost in the commotion of the last month of WWII.

But here they are, in good state, very well legible: N

Page 1 from this booklet: "Let's talk about marriage at first place."
Love is not a matter of consideration but a special mood of the soul
combined with a secret call of the heart. So anyone who courts a bride…
waits to be transcribed and translated
